Swim & Dive
All of our meets are run by volunteers from each of the swim and tennis clubs, there are no paid officials. Please support the program by volunteering for meets (both home and away). We ask that you volunteer for two (2) sessions (each session is for half a swim meet) throughout the season. Those that do not volunteer will be assessed a fee of $100 by CS&T. You can use the link below (via VolunteerSpot.com) to sign up for any of our meets. Thank you for your support.

Swimmers will be divided into three groups: 8 and unders, 9-10 year olds, and 11 and older. These sessions will run from 11:30-12:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please only sign up for one set of days so classes are not over-enrolled. Members of the swim team are welcome, as this is a great chance to fine-tune skills, but being on the team is not required. Please sign up on Memorial Day or at the front desk after May 29th. Swim clinics are free of charge.

This summer we will be offering three levels of swim lessons. Each of the two sessions will include 8 classes. Please only sign up for one set of days so classes are not over-enrolled. Swimmers may participate in both sessions. Please sign up on Memorial Day or at the front desk after May 29th. Swim lessons are free of charge.
Session 1: (June 26th-July 20th) Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays
Session 2: (August 7th-August 17th) Monday-Thursday
Level 1: 10:30-11:00 (9:30-10:00 in August)
Level 2: 11:00-11:30 (10:00-10:30 in August)
Level 3: 11:30-12:00 (10:30-11:00 in August)
Level 1 (Parent-Child): Introduction to Water Skills Typical Ages: 1-3
This class will help students to feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely. Instructors will work with parents to help the child develop a love for swimming through songs and games. At the completion of level 1, the goal is for swimmers to be confident enough to try new skills such as blowing bubbles and kicking with an instructor, rather than a parent.
Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills Typical Ages: 3-4
Students in this class will work to acquire fundamental water skills. Swimmers at this level are not independent swimmers, but they should be comfortable working one-on-one with an instructor rather than a parent. Swimmers will work to develop basic kicking, floating, pulling techniques and will begin to go underwater and jump from the side. In order to move on to level 3, swimmers should have forward progression independently and should be comfortable going underwater on their own.
Level 3: Stroke Development Typical Ages: 4-6
Students in level 3 should have some independence in the water. Swimmers should be comfortable kicking, floating, and going underwater on their own. Swimmers will start to learn the basics of freestyle and backstroke with an instructor in the water. Instructors will also teach a beginning dive progression as well as basic kicking technique for butterfly and breaststroke. This is the last level taught in the shallow end with instructors in the water. In order to graduate to the first level of swim clinics taught in a lap lane, swimmers should be able to swim two shallow end widths of freestyle and two shallow end widths of backstroke independently.
This summer we will be offering adult swimming for our members. Swimmers will work on a skill of the day followed by a workout incorporating the skill. Swimmers must be 18 or older, but all levels are welcome. There will always be two coaches at each practice, so both the novice swimmer and the competitive swimmer are welcome to attend. Please sign up on Memorial Day or at the front desk after May 29th. Adult swimming is free.
Six-Week Session: June 27th-August 3rd Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00-7:00 PM *No practice on July 4th
The CS&T Dive Team is for competitive divers ages 7-17. Divers train Monday-Friday from June 5th-July 31st. Meets are on Mondays and Saturdays (as well as a few Wednesdays and Fridays) against teams from Westford, Bedford, Concord, and Wayland. Please sign up on Memorial Day or at the front desk after May 29th. Participation on the dive team is $15 per diver ($35 family maximum). Athletes who swim and dive are only charged once.
Dive Team Commitment Requirements:
- Divers must consistently attend daily practices, although coaches are aware there will be some vacation and activity conflicts from time to time.
- Divers must also dive in at least two meets during the season.
- Divers should make a commitment to attend the championships on August 1st.
June 5th-June 23rd Monday-Friday 6:00pm-7:00pm
June 26th-July 31st Monday-Friday 12:00pm-1:30pm (split in two sessions by age)
Divers compete in two different types of meets throughout the season. Meets on Mondays and Fridays are diving only and consist of divers from all of the clubs in the Colonial League (and Nashawtuc). All divers are welcome to attend, as long as they were at the previous practice. These meets have a 12:00 warm-up and a 1:00 start for the younger kids, and the older kids warm-up and compete after.
Saturday dual meets include swimming and diving. Only three divers (boys and girls combined) are allowed in each age group. Coaches choose the lineup based on skill level, attendance at practices, and work ethic. Coaches would like to allow each diver to attend at least one Saturday meet, but please understand that this might not be possible if there are several divers in a particular age group. Lineups for the Saturday meets will be emailed out a few days before the meet so that parents know if their child is competing.
Age group meet requirements:
10 and under- 3 dives (forward, two optional dives)
12 and under- 4 dives (forward, back, two optional dives)
14 and under- 5 dives (forward, back, inward, two optional dives)
17 and under- 6 dives (forward, back, inward, reverse, two optional dives)
This summer we will be offering two sessions of dive lessons. Please sign up on Memorial Day or at the front desk after May 29th. There is no charge for lessons.
Dates: Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00pm-7:00pm
Session 1: (June 26th-July 20th)
Session 2: (August 7th-August 17th)
This summer, all swim and dive coaches are available to give 30 minute private lessons for $30. Please speak to the coach you wish to have a lesson with in person to arrange a time.
